Juillet 2001 je sens une boule dans mon sein gauche .
Je profite d’une visite chez le médecin avec mon fils pour lui en parler, elle me fait un papier pour aller passer une mammographie.
Celle-ci est prévue le 22 août. Le jour fatidique arrive. Ce jour qui va changer toute ma vie. La radiologue me reçoit avec cette petite phrase « Je ne vois vraiment pas ce que vous venez faire ici ! ». Il est vrai qu’il y a vingt ans, on parlait moins du Cancer du sein, surtout si jeune. Je pense qu’elle va vite regretter cette phrase quand après l’examen elle vient me rechercher dans la cabine pour me dire de ne pas me rhabiller car il faut faire une échographie et une ponction , je sens le danger venir je fonds en larmes .
Vendredi 30 août, je téléphone au médecin traitant pour avoir mes résultats elle ne veut pas m’en parler au téléphone elle me propose de la voir le soir . À la visite elle me dit que les résultats ne sont pas bons. Elle téléphone devant moi à un oncologue.( Je ne savais même pas ce que c’était moi un oncologue). Ce monsieur bien gentil me reçoit le vendredi à l’hôpital à 21h. Il me dit : « vous avez des mauvaises cellules il faut vous opérer en urgence. Vous rentrer dimanche et on vous opère lundi matin ». Je ne comprends pas trop il ne prononce pas le mot cancer que que j’attends malgré tout qu’il prononce. Finalement c’est moi qui vais le faire » C’est un cancer ? La réponse est directe »oui ». C’est difficile d’expliquer les sentiments qui nous viennent à ce moment-là : La peur la colère la tristesse… Comment l’annoncer à ses enfants à ses parents sont toute des questions qui nous viennent d’un coup.
Ensuite tout s’enchaîne, je rentre à l’hôpital le dimanche on m’opère le lundi matin, on m’enlève cette tumeur qui était en fait au nombre de trois on m’a également enlevé 8 ganglions dont deux sont déjà touchés. L’oncologue vient me retrouver quatre jours après pour m’annoncer qu’il faut m’enlever le sein. Ma réponse est OK ma priorité est de vivre.
Une semaine après cette opération, l’oncologue ne veut rien laisser passer, il me dit que j’aurai six séances de chimiothérapie à trois semaines d’intervalle chacune. Des semaines très très dur avec des nausées, de la fatigue et surtout la perte de mes cheveux, ce qui est plus dur pour moi que la perte de mon sein.
Après 5 semaines de rayons et 5 ans d’hormonotherapie, j’apprends je ne sais plus à quel moment exactement que j’ai le gène brc2. Un an plus tard je commence ma reconstruction du sein gauche et comme j’ai le fameux gêne je décide d’enlever le droit et de refaire une reconstruction immédiate je n’ai pas envie que cette saleté revienne de ce côté-là. Je fais des bilans régulièrement ce qui me met dans des états pas possible, je ne supporte plus le moindre examen par peur du résultat…
20 ans après c’est toujours le cas.
Je témoigne car à cette époque, j’aurais aimé que quelqu’un vienne me dire » Tu sais j’ai eu pareil il y a 20 ans c’était pas gagné mais je suis encore là » je veux donner cet espoir à tous ceux et celles qui se battent et si vous avez un doute n’hésitez pas à consulter car la peur n’évite pas le danger.
Aujourd’hui je profite de chaque jour car je sais que l’on est peu de chose sur cette terre..Et que tout peut vite basculer.
